Started using Jose Silva's Systems even before he took the course

Temple Nash read The Silva Mind Control Method by Jose Silva and Philip Miele in 1979 while stationed in western Turkey, and practiced many of the techniques before ever taking the course.

A decade later, in 1989 and back in the United States he attended class with Suzy Golin in Dallas, Texas.

Ten years later, in 1999, he completed Instructor Training and was certified to teach the Silva courses.

Along the way he took the advanced course with Jose Silva in 1993, and became a Silva Certified Holistic Faith Healer in 1997.

He has studied massage therapy with Carolyn Scott Niall, a Silva Graduate, studied Yoga with Kumar Pallana, who was recently in The Tannenbaums, and has been an NRA Certified Instructor.

Temple said that the most important and valuable thing he has learned has been, without any doubt, Jose Silva's wonderful Systems, and he points that "Systems" is plural as there are more than one.

He credits his speedy recovery from surgery in 1991 to what he had learned in the Silva class. He only needed a pain killer once during the 13 days he was in the hospital. He was the first known living survivor of that particular procedure.

When the surgeon told Temple of his concerns regarding Temple's recovery, Temple asked him if he had left anything inside. When the doctor assured him that everything had been accounted for, Temple told him flatly that there would be no infection, and there wasn't.

And Temple walked out of the hospital 13 days later.
