During my first six decades on this planet, I've found that some things are important, and that some things are essential. Here are some of the things in my "essential" category:

First is good health, because without health you won't do all the things that you need to do. Without good health I never could have been a pilot in the Air Force, or provided all of the love and support that I was able to give to my family.

Relationships are essential to your well being, your happiness, and your growth as a human being. Friends and family give your life a special quality that makes everything worthwhile.

Education and knowledge and good judgement are essential in order to succeed at a career and have the financial resources that you need for your family, and to do the things that are important to you.

It is essential to know how to acquire the information that you need, and how to analyze that information and make correct decisions, in order to prevent problems and achieve success in whatever way is appropriate for you.
